Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe helped make him one of the most well-known Marvel characters. On the gaming front, Iron Man has just the 2020 Camouflaj PlayStation VR exclusive game to itself. He appears in Marvel’s Avengers by Crystal Dynamics and Marvel’s Midnight Suns by Firaxis Games, to be sure, but those games only have a small number of playable characters.

However, Tony Stark fans can rejoice. Journalist Jeff Grubb of GiantBomb has disclosed that Electronic Arts is creating a second Marvel game in addition to Black Panther. Tom Henderson, a fellow insider, adding that he had heard it was Iron Man after all, though he hadn’t been able to find out anything more.

Although we are unable to guess which development company would be devoted to the Iron Man project, it is an intriguing rumor. A brand-new Seattle-based company headed by Kevin Stephens, who formerly served as Vice President of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor/Shadow of War creator Monolith Productions, is producing Black Panther.

Looking at EA’s current lineup, Motive Studios is occupied with the Dead Space remake due on January 27th, 2023; Respawn Entertainment is working on Star Wars: Jedi Survivor (releasing next year, possibly in early March); an untitled Star Wars first-person shooter game directed by original Battlefront veteran Peter Hirschmann; and a Star Wars strategy game co-developed with Bit Reactor. Additionally, a Seattle-based studio run by Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto is reportedly developing.

As further rumors surface about this most recent Marvel project before any official statements from EA, stay tuned for more information.
