The launch date for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 “Zen 4” CPUs and X670 motherboards, which we previously reported exclusively, has been confirmed by MSI.

MSI Officially Confirms A 15th September Launch Date For AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs & X670 Motherboards

You’d assume AMD would announce the release date of their product before MSI, however the latter said the Ryzen 7000 CPU series and its X670 motherboard series launches at the same time, both indicating mid-September.

  • Product announcement: August 29, 2022 at 8:00PM ET / August 30, 2022 at 2:00AM CET / 8:00AM TW
  • Press embargo: September 13, 2022 at 9AM ET / 3PM CET / 9PM TW
  • Sales embargo: September 15, 2022 at 9AM ET / 3PM CET / 9PM TW

Although AMD hasn’t officially announced the dates, our sources have already made this clear, and we even learned about the 29th August announcement where the red team will release all of the details, including prices. We have offered you a detailed breakdown of the specifications, which we also made public first and alone.

For the AMD Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPU family, MSI intends to first produce four X670 motherboards, including the MEG X670E GODLIKE, MEG X670E Ace, MPG X670E Carbon WiFI, and the PRO X670E-P WIFI. Closer to the debut, we will get more details like costs, overclocking, and memory DDR5 support. A variety of motherboards using the B650 chipset will also be on display by the business, albeit they won’t go on sale for a little while.

At the AMD “Meet The Experts” Livestream yesterday, MSI provided some further information on their X670E motherboards. With advanced heatsink designs like screwless M.2 Shield Frozr technology, M.2 XPANDER-Z Gen 5 Dual AIC (supporting up to two PCIe Gen 5.0 x4 SSDs in actively cooled solution), 60W USB Type-C power delivery, and more reliable power delivery for each tier of the motherboard, MSI is pushing things to the limit. We also get a better look at the MEG X670E GODLIKE, which has a tremendously saturated PCB design and a ton of IO to work with, and it still looks like a beast. Here are some details about MSI’s product range.
