When Does ‘Fortnite’ Chapter 4, Season 2 End And Season 3 ‘Wilds’ Begin? Server Downtime, Battle Pass, New Trailer And More
A new season of Fortnite: Battle Royale is just around the corner. As Chapter 4, Season 2 ‘Mega’ draws to a close, Season 3 ‘Wilds’ is almost upon us. Japanese cyberpunk is being replaced by a nature-themed season that introduces new biomes including a jungle biome to the game’s Chapter 4 map.
Season 3 kicks off tomorrow, June 9th, with server downtime beginning in mere hours. Epic Games says that the Season 2 Battle Pass will be available until June 8th at 11pm PT / June 9th at 2 2am ET. This is when servers will go down for the big Season 3 update.
The exact length of that downtime is a bit harder to pin down. It can last anywhere from just a couple of hours to, well, days. Most likely, the game will be back online with the Season 3 update in the middle of the night somewhere around 2 or 3 am PT / 5 or 6 am ET on June 9th.
There is no live-event to end the season or kick off ‘Wilds’ but expect new trailers, lots of map changes, a new Battle Pass with some Transformers themed content and much more.
