Forza Horizon 5 Adds Italy’s Most Powerful Hypercar
Forza Horizon 5 players will soon have the chance to experience Italy’s self-proclaimed “most powerful hypercar”, the Pininfarina Battista. Included in the “European Automotive Car Pack,” the game grants Xbox users the opportunity to fulfill a dream many hypercar owners only fantasize about: driving their prized possession without diminishing its resale value.
Once they have it in their collection, players will be able to customize the Battista with Forza’s paint shop. They will also be able to modify it with virtual body kits and other upgrades that help them navigate the virtual world of Forza Horizon 5.
“We work closely with clients individually to ensure every Battista that leaves our Cambiano Atelier is a unique expression of their personality – and a true one of one,” said Dave Amantea, Pininfarina’s chief design officer. “By joining Forza Horizon 5, we’re enabling enthusiasts across the world the chance to create a digital Battista that reflects their own tastes using a virtually endless choice of options – just like we do in the real world.”
The Pininfarina Battista’s electric motors deliver a whopping 1,874 hp (1,397 kW / 1,900 PS) to the wheels. That gets the car up to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 1.79 seconds and onto 120 mph (193 km/h) in just 4.49 seconds, making it one of the quickest cars on earth, as well as a force to be reckoned within the game.
Despite being new to the Horizon franchise, the Battista is already playable in the latest Forza Motorsport release, which leans more towards simulation racing than this one. Further helping the development team with this addition to the lineup, the car that the Pininfarina EV is based on, the Rimac Nevera, is already playable in Forza Horizon 5.
Limited to just 150 examples, this will no doubt be many enthusiasts’ only opportunity to drive the Pininfarina Battista for themselves. Available to download now, Forza Horizon 5 can be played on the Xbox Series X|S and the PC.
