A new gaming console featuring Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 chip
Qualcomm has announced its first chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and will be designed to run on a small (unnamed) gaming console similar to the Nintendo Switch. And Steam Deck. And that chip is called the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1.
Qualcomm has teamed up with Razer to develop a mini-console to feature the new Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 chip, which has yet to be unveiled.
The Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 is made for Android, and comes with the latest Adreno GPU capable of playing games with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.
The console is also compatible with the 5G sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G systems, while Qualcomm has included WiFi 6E. For the above mini-game consoles can be connected to other LCD screens with the same 4K and can also connect to VR via USB-C port.
However, it is not yet clear when the company will make this console for sale with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 chip.
