A new Xbox controller from Asus called the ROG Raikiri Pro has an integrated OLED screen.

An Xbox Series X/S and PC compatible new gaming controller from Asus with a small built-in OLED display was unveiled at CES 2023.

Just above the Xbox button on the Asus ROG Raikiri Pro is a 1.3-inch OLED screen that shows information like the battery life and a personalized picture (or animation). Two buttons on the controller, located between a USB-C connector, are used to switch between your controller profiles.

The Raikiri Pro also features a circular D-Pad, trigger locks, and four customizable back buttons. In addition to a 3.5mm headphone connector and a dedicated mute button. The controller’s buttons, joystick sensitivity, trigger modes, and dead zones may all be changed using the Asus Armoury Crate PC program.

Even more intriguingly, the ROG Raikiri Pro provides tri-modal connectivity, enabling you to connect the controller wiredly using a USB-C cable, 2.4GHz RF mode, or Bluetooth. According to Asus’ product description on the page, this is a “pro” controller for PC users, whereas Xbox compatibility requires a wired USB-C connection.

I’m reminded of comparable controllers and ideas by the controller’s display. such is the wireless Xbox 360 Turbo Fire controller from Datel. The visual memory unit (VMU)-equipped Sega Dreamcast controller is another option. It will be intriguing to watch what happens when users have the ability to use unique graphics or animations.

The controller’s pricing and release date have not yet been disclosed by Asus.
