Following a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that shook Turkey and Syria yesterday, several members of the Turkish VALORANT community are apparently seeking for assistance from the authorities as a professional player is reportedly stuck under debris.

According to a report published yesterday by Dot Esports, Turkish VALORANT professional player Gizem “Luie” Harmankaya, who competed for the UnknownPros Female team, was unreachable.

In Turkey’s Kahramanmaraş area, where the 7.8 earthquake occurred, Luie resided. According to BBC News, the calamity has claimed the lives of more than 5,000 people as of the time of writing, and the number is still rising.

However, unsubstantiated reports posted online today said Luie had been discovered but was stuck under a collapsed building’s debris. “Please, the teams GET HELP NOW,” she begged, “when her lover Doukan touched [her] or something, she didn’t react, and her body is cold.” based on Selin Tok’s tweets.

The issue has been observed by a Turkish VALORANT player, who informed Dot Esports that Luie is not responding to requests for assistance from those present.

An photograph that appears to show a hand underneath the debris has been widely shared online (Warning: The image in question is graphic, and viewer discretion is advised). Dot Esports is unable to confirm whether the picture indeed features Luie.

Others online have claimed that Luie has been waiting for assistance from the police for more than 36 hours.
