Cloud9 will add star Zellsis to complete the VALORANT superteam.
According to several sources, Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro, a former player for the Sentinels and Version1, is about to join the North American club Cloud9.
Sources familiar with the agreement say that the discussions will shortly be concluded.
On loan from Version1, Zellsis, regarded as one of the top initiators in the area, battled with Sentinels for the final chance qualification in August.
Along with Jaccob “yes” Whiteaker, the finest VALORANT player in the world, Zellsis will join C9. The final phases of Yay’s agreement were just disclosed by Dot Esports on September 27. A new superteam will be formed with the inclusion of the two superstars.
Prior to switching to C9, Zellsis and Anthony “vanity” Malaspina faced off on Version 1 last year. Version1 placed in the top six at the VCT Stage Two Masters in Reykjavik, Iceland, where the duo qualified.
Later, in July, Zellsis joined Sentinels on loan and participated in three games for Sentinels, losing to The Guard in their first game. Sentinels recovered to overcome Shopify Rebellion but fell short against eventual champions 100 Thieves in the losers bracket’s second round.
Alongside some of the biggest esports businesses, C9 will play in the Americas league. The first games in the international leagues are scheduled to start with a kick-off tournament in February of next year, and Zellsis will compete against his previous squad Sentinels in the league.
The 30 paired teams from the three primary areas are expected to compete in the opening event. It will take place in Brazil’s So Paulo.
