According to a new agreement between the two businesses, Control 2 will be co-developed and co-published by 505 Games and is currently in official development for PC and consoles, according to Remedy Entertainment.

According to Remedy’s official website, the second installment in the series, formerly known as Codename Heron, will be a full-fledged sequel to the first one built on Remedy’s proprietary Northlight engine. It will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on an unconfirmed release date, which is probably not getting announced anytime soon as the game is still in the conceptual stage.

The starting budget for Control 2’s development is 50 million euros, and Remedy will continue to hold the game’s intellectual property. Both 505 Games and Remedy will get an equal share of the game’s future net sales as well as the development, marketing, and post-launch investments. The game will run on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S and be created using the exclusive Northlight® engine and tools from Remedy. The game will be released by Remedy for the PC platform and by 505 Games for the console platforms. Currently, the project is only an idea.

Along with the announcement, concept art from Control 2 has also been released. It is located immediately below.
