Dell Launches Alienware x14 R2: The Thinnest 14-Inch Gaming Notebook
Dell has commenced the sale of the Alienware x14 R2, the world’s thinnest 14-inch gaming notebook. Featuring a brand-new full metal chassis constructed with anodized aluminum, stainless steel, and magnesium alloy, this model offers enhanced durability and aesthetics.
Its V-rail edge design allows for easy opening and closing, and it includes a palm rest for added comfort. Notably, it incorporates an improved Alienware Cryo-tech cooling system, delivering superior cooling performance compared to its predecessor.
The display boasts a 14-inch Quad HD+ (2,560 x 1,600/165Hz) resolution, offering 97% more pixels than the “Alienware x14 R1”. The GPU is equipped with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 6GB GDDR6. Under the hood, it features the 13th generation Intel Core i7-13620H processor, LPDDR5 16GB memory, and a 1TB M.2 SSD (NVMe). The network connectivity options include Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX211 2 × 2 (802.11ax / MU-MIMO) and Bluetooth. The interface comprises a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (PD / DP compatible) x 1, a global headset jack, an HDMI 2.1 port x 1, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A x 1, a microSD card slot, and two Thunderbolt 4 (PD / DP) Type-C ports.
The Alienware x14 R2 is available in Lunar Silver, with dimensions of 321.08 mm in width, 260.41 mm in depth, and 14.50 mm in height. It weighs 1.91 kg. The laptop comes preinstalled with Windows 11 Home and offers various customization options. The Alienware x14 R2 starts at a minimum configuration price of 1850 euros, including tax and shipping.
