Excel signs former G2 player
Mikyx parted ways with G2 Esports and joined Excel Esports pending approval from Riot Games. As a result of the transfer, Mikyx will replace Advienne and meet with Sng “Nelson” Yi Wei, LEC assistant coach.
The 23-year-old support player has been an integral part of the G2 for more than three years, having been with the team since 2018. At the time, Mikyx made a name for himself as one of the most popular players in Europe after qualifying and competing in the 2016 Worlds with Splyce. And this is Mikyx’s biggest achievement under G2 control.
In total, he won the LEC title four times with the G2 team, G2’s most successful year in the League of Legends was 2019, when the team won the MSI and reached the 2019 Worlds final.
