Former XSET superstar to be signed by 100 Thieves to start VALOROUS offseason
According to several sources, Matthew “Cryo” Panganiban from XSET will join the North American team 100 Thieves as a VALORANT player.
The superstar will become the team’s first addition to the squad following the current offseason transfer window.
With his outstanding skill since joining XSET, Cryocells has established himself as one of the greatest players in the area. The two OpTic superstars yeah and Cryo are regarded as the top Chamber players in North America.
At the time of writing, it is unknown which player will make room for Cryo on the 100T roster. Next year, 100 Thieves must have a minimum of six players on its squad and a maximum of ten in order to compete against other teams in the international leagues.
Over a year ago, after the acquisition of Adam “ec1s” Eccles, a former in-game leader, 100 Thieves asked about Cryo. Cryo was working for SoaR at the time and would eventually join XSET.
The organization has regained its footing with a top-12 result at VALORANT Champions 2022 after a number of roster changes over the course of the year. Both DRX and Fnatic managed to take down 100 thieves and send them home.
Along with teams like Sentinels, NRG, KRU Esports, Evil Geniuses, Cloud9, LOUD, FURIA, MIBR, and Leviatan, 100 Thieves will participate in the Americas international competition. The first competition for the worldwide leagues will take place in February and will include all 30 associated teams from Asia, the Americas, and EMEA.
The three-week tournament is set to be held in São Paulo, Brazil.
