Google’s Gmail app adds new Voice Call and Video Call features
Google recently announced that it will be adding Voice Call and Video Call features via Google Chat with Gmail, previously capable of making calls from within the Gmail app on iOS and Android phones. Users need to submit a login in advance via Google Meet, which makes the use of complicated and limited.
In the meantime, users can make phone calls by simply clicking on the new phone icon and video displayed in the upper right corner of the app. In addition, users who initiate a call from Google Chat will be redirected to Gmail.
The call feature will be available from December 6 for users with a Google Workspace, G Suite or personal Google account.
