In the 2023 Spring Split, one legendary LCK player dominates the league in kills and accounts for roughly half of his team’s kills.
Many dubbed the 2022 League of Legends World Championship, which took place in October, as veteran AD carry Kim “Deft” Hyuk-“Last kyu’s Dance.” After his final performance, many expected the 26-year-old sensation to call it quits, but after two weeks in the new year, it’s obvious he won’t be hanging up his keyboard and mouse any time soon.
According to League statistic aggregator Oracle’s Elixir, Deft presently leads all LCK players with 61 kills through nine games and a 49.6 percent share of the team’s overall kills.
To illustrate the significance of Deft, consider that star mid laner Heo “ShowMaker” Su, who has just 20 kills this season, has the second-highest number of kills on DK. Top laner Kim “Canna” Chang-dong had 18 kills, compared to Kim “Canyon” Geon-16 bu’s kills.
The world-conquering mid-jungle pair of Dplus KIA now includes the great marksman, who has kept up his form after his Summoner’s Cup run with DRX.
However, DK puts a lot of resources into Deft to boost his power levels in the middle to end of the game. He now contributes the most gold per game (30.6%) to his squad of all LCK players.
Deft is still one of the most dependable ADCs in the world. Despite the fact that he has played the majority of his games on Zeri and Lucian, every opponent must take into account this powerhouse’s exceptional mechanical prowess.
DK has won seven of their last nine games entering the second week of the split. Their only defeats were at the hands of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, the GOAT, and his youthful, talented cast at T1.
Catch DK in action once more on February 1 when they take on Gen.G in the LCK’s comeback.
