Natus Vincere fires CS:GO replacement sdy and temporarily elevates an academy player
Viktor “sdy” Orudzhev, a Ukrainian CS:GO rifler, has left Natus Vincere today after serving as Boombl4’s interim replacement for a significant amount of time in-game.
Today we thank @somedieyoungCS for being a part of #navination. Once NAVI, always NAVI!

Right now, it’s unknown who NAVI will choose to permanently replace sdy. As of right now, the organization has promoted Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi, a NAVI Junior player, to the main roster. He will represent the organization exclusively at IEM Katowice 2023 and other January events. HLTV reports that Npl already took part in a few NAVI matches during the BLAST Premier World Final 2022, despite the fact that he only managed a 0.67 rating on the three maps played there.
Since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, the organization has refrained from recruiting new Russian players in an effort to concentrate on the Ukrainian professional talent instead. If NAVI decides to imitate what clubs like MOUZ accomplished this year, one of the Ukrainians on the organization’s academy squad may make it to the first team.
Although sdy didn’t join NAVI to assume the in-game leadership, he did play a more supporting role throughout his time there rather than being positioned to consistently score multiple kills like s1mple and b1t.
In all, sdy participated in eight competitions with NAVI, including the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022, where the team won. For instance, he participated in the route to second place in IEM Cologne 2022.
