NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Graphics Card Leaks Out: ASUS’s Custom Dual Model
ASUS’s custom NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB graphics card has been pictured in the latest leaked pictures posted by Momomo_US.
The First NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER GPU Has Been Pictured, 12 GB Dual Custom Design From ASUS
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER graphics card pictured is the ASUS RTX 4070 SUPER Dual which is a dual-fan custom design featuring a compact 2.46 slot form factor. The card is really small making it a perfect fit for small form factor PCs and cases since you will be getting faster graphics performance over the standard RTX 4070.
Comparing the card to the existing ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 Dual OC, we can note that it is a lot shorter. The standard 4070 Dual OC measures 267.01 x 133.94 x 51.13 mm. The new RTX 4070 SUPER will use the new CEM 5.1 interface which extends upon the 12VHPWR connector with the new ATX 3.1 standard and 12V-2×6 design.
In addition to these features, the ASUS GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Dual will also come with a backplate that extends beyond the PCB.
Considering that the card is already smaller than the previous RTX 4070 Dual model, the PCB itself is going to be very compact for a card that retails above $500 US. The backplate also has labels for a BIOS switch that will let you adjust between Performance and Quiet mode profiles. The card will be available in both OC and non-OC flavors plus TUF Gaming models.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER Specifications
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER is expected to come in AD104-350 or AD103-175 SKU (PG141 SKU 335) configurations with the same 7,168 cores across both variants. The GPU is expected to get 48 MB of L2 cache. It looks like this card would stick with the 12 GB GDDR6X memory across the same 192-bit bus interface. For the RTX 4070 SUPER, the card will have a 20W higher TBP than the existing 4070 at 220W.
As for the performance, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER should end up being around 14% faster than the RTX 4070 Non-SUPER. The graphics card will also get the new CEM 5.1 Gen5 power connector. The existing RTX 4070 graphics cards either come with an 8-pin connector or a 12-pin power connector (supplied with an adapter).
In terms of performance, you are expecting something like the following from NVIDIA’s RTX 40 SUPER GPUs (Performance based on reference specs):
- RTX 4080 SUPER vs RTX 4080: +3-5% Faster On Average
- RTX 4070 Ti SUPER vs RTX 4070 Ti: +15% Faster On Average
- RTX 4070 SUPER vs RTX 4070: +14% Faster On Average
Once again, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER GPU family is going to be unveiled at CES 2024 & launch is “expected” in the same month. Prices have not been confirmed to any retailer or partner and don’t expect them to be finalized until the very last minute.
