OnePlus Pad Pro launches as the first tablet with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
The OnePlus Pad Pro is now official in China, and it comes with powerful specs and a very competitive price tag. To be specific, the base variant of this flagship Android tablet is CNY 2,799 (around $385), with the top-end model coming at CNY 3,699 (about $509).
For that price range, OnePlus is offering one of the fastest tablets in the market. It’s the first Android tablet to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the current flagship SoC from Qualcomm. This makes the Pad Pro a better performer than the premium Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (512 GB S9+ WiFi curr. $919.99 on Amazon).
OnePlus paired that chipset with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. As for the display, the Pad Pro comes with a 12.1-inch IPS panel that features a 3000×2120 pixels resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, and up to 900 nits of rated peak brightness. There’s also support for Dolby Vision, which should lead to vibrant and better-quality images.
Other than that, the table is geared towards productivity, with OnePlus revealing the Smart Stylus Pro alongside the Android tablet. According to the company, this stylus can offer the same experience as a real pen on paper. Besides these, the Android tablet has a large 9510 mAh battery that can charge at 67W and a six-speaker audio setup.
OnePlus hasn’t shared its plans to release the Pad Pro in the international markets. But it’s worth noting that the other two tablets from the company, the Pad Go and non-Pro Pad, are available globally.
