Samsung announces new Odyssey Neo G8 monitor with first 4K 240Hz display
Samsung has recently announced three of its next-generation monitors, which will be fully unveiled at CES 2022 from January 5 to 7. . These three monitors are released by Samsung to meet the needs of different people, including models for gaming, for content creation and for general work and entertainment.
First, let’s take a look at the previous gaming model, which Samsung dubbed the Odyssey Neo G8. The monitor has a 32-inch display with a resolution of up to 4K and a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, making it the first monitor to feature such a high-resolution display and refresh rate.
The screen of the Odyssey Neo G8 has a curvature of 1000R, a Quantum Mini LED display. In addition to the Samsung Quantum Matrix and Quantum HDR 2000 technology, this monitor can maximize brightness up to 2000 nits in HDR Content and brightness correction up to 4096 steps. One of the unique features of the Odyssey Neo G9 is that it also comes with CoreSync, which lets you set the RGB light on the back of the monitor to match the content being viewed on the screen.
Take a look at the model for general work and entertainment, Samsung named it Smart Monitor M8. This monitor has a luxurious design with a thickness of only 11.4mm. It also has a 32-inch 4K display with 99% sRGB color rendering and can support 1.07 billion color rendering with a maximum brightness of 400 nits. Smart Monitor M8 comes with a built-in webcam for use with Google Dou pre-installed, and it also comes pre-installed with other streaming services.
Lastly, look at the Content Creation work model, the so-called Samsung S8, which comes with a 32-inch display, but there is also a 27-inch option that has a 4K display and a monitor. The first in the world to receive Glare-free certification from Underwriters Laboratories.
In addition, the Samsung S8 can display 98% of the DCI-P3 color, is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified, and has USB-C connectivity with compatible laptops to transmit video or audio to the monitor.
