The 45-inch ultrawides released by Philips lack a built-in Windows Hello webcam.
The 45B1U6900C and 45B1U6900CH are two brand-new 45″ ultrawide displays from Philips. Both displays include a 1500R curved VA panel with a resolution of 5120 x 1440, a refresh rate of 75 Hz, 450 nits of brightness, and a color gamut of 128% sRGB with DisplayHDR 400 certification.
The 45B1U6900CH variant of these screens is unique in that it has a 5 MP Windows Hello certified camera, a noise-canceling microphone, and a headphone holder on the left side of the panel. These displays have several characteristics in common. Several input choices are available on the displays, including two HDMI 2.0 connectors, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, and a USB-C port with a 100 watt power capacity. The USB hub of the 45B1U6900C model has USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and a USB-B upstream port, whereas the 45B1U6900CH variant has USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports but no USB-B upstream port.
Both variants come equipped with four downstream USB-A connections, a downstream USB-C port that can supply up to 15 W of power, Gigabit Ethernet, an audio jack, and two integrated 5 W speakers. The display can tilt and swivel but not rotate, and the stand may be raised or lowered.
The monitors also have MultiView, which enables you to simultaneously view two sources, and a switch button for switching between kvm inputs. Although a price has not yet been announced, the displays are anticipated to be less expensive than Philips’ 49″ ultrawides, which are now priced between €950 and €1,050.
