The makers of the Steam Deck have been singing the praises of their own platform, and Valve has confirmed that over a million units of the portable console have been distributed since it was first introduced barely a year ago.

On February 22, 2022, Valve debuted the portable Steam Deck system, which is already beginning to compete with other consoles on the market.

In a YouTube conversation, the rivals of the Nintendo Switch informed viewers on the changes made to Steam Deck and desktop mode. Fans were given an advance look at the development and upgrades of the Steam Deck via the Gaming on Linux YouTube channel.

The KDE representative stated that “they’re still processing back-orders,” indicating that there are still further sales to be recorded. The makers of Steam Deck are anticipating a “surge” of orders when the portable console becomes more widely accessible, so this is not the end.

There are several opportunities for general gaming using Steam Deck from Valve.

The Steam Deck may be carried around and connected to a TV or monitor, just like the Switch. Users may install Windows as an operating system and even attach their keyboards and mice to the Steam Deck.

In a sense, it is a computer in your hands. With the entire Steam library integrated on the Steam Deck, users have access to an almost limitless number of games, shattering competitors.

This achievement signifies success for Valve and the Steam Deck, and given how quickly it occurred, further achievements are certain to follow soon.
